The mission of QC YQL is to provide consultation and education from the perspective of a queer and trans academic and organizer to help foster inclusive, accessible, and safe services, spaces, and communities for LGBTQIA+ individuals living in Southern Alberta. 

QC YQL values anti-oppressive and anti-racist practice and centering decolonization and challenging systemic inequality whenever possible. I endeavor to utilize my privilege as a white settler and my perspectives as a queer, trans woman to foster a better community for LGBTQIA+ folks while acknowledging the importance of intersectionality and centering the voices of Black, Indigenous and Persons of Color who are trans and/or queer whenever possible. 

QC YQL seeks to work closely with local businesses, organizations, institutions, and governments address issues of discrimination, exclusion, and inequity within vital services and policies.
